Borrowed Time

Suddenly, I missed something important,
And, being the fool I am,
I didn’t even realized when it happened.
Friends take a lot of time and effort
And when that time is shortened, they worry.
I should have known that: I worry all the time.

So, here I am asking for forgiveness,
on bended knees,
though you can’t see me.
Here I am: I promise it will never happen again,
Though it is up to you to believe me.
Here I am, and I’m sorry.

This isn’t really a poem,
because I just don’t have time to make it rhythm:
I’m on borrowed time as it is,
But believe me when I say that
This is how I express my deepest emotions
And if you wanted, I’d write you one every day.
